Now I remember...

(Please read the comments section of my previous post before reading this. Otherwise, this post won't make sense.)

I almost forgot how some of the (anonymous) people who comment on this blog seem to think that they are entitled to something. Can't these people just enjoy what I and others have to share, rather than demand things?

Don't get me wrong folks, I love the comments. I really do. But here's the thing...

I write on my own time, when I have time. I have a ton of good stories. I also have a general idea about how long it will take to write them. Sometimes, however, that time table flies out the window. For instance, the story about MASE took me almost 2 weeks to get right.

It's not that I'm teasing you folks or trying to build anticipation when I say that I'm going to post on a certain date. I just want to do the stories justice. I don't want to start posting crappy stories. That's not fair to you, me, or the people that the stories are written about.

I have to balance my time between work, my fiance, my dog, my family, and having a life. I try to squeeze blogging in there as often as possible, but some days it's just darn near impossible.

So folks, here's what I propose. I am going to try to post once a week. Maybe more, maybe less. I'm not making any promises, save this- the stories will be entertaining when they do get posted.

The story I was writing turned out to be more difficult than expected (hence the delay). Therefore, I am going to shelf it for a while.

Instead, I am going to introduce you to a new character...

Enjoy!

How rude of people to be demanding of you! Like you (we....a server of 9 years) don't get that enough already.
Persons demanding: get a hobby or grow some patience.
    Graciously yours,
    K.

It's your blog. Write and post at your will. And don't worry about the childish behavior of others who have some misguided sense of entitlement. Seems to be the way of the world these days. Either some folks have no manners or upbringing whatsoever, or they just have too much time on their hands, apparently, if they sit and hit the update button and feel entitled to faster posts on someone's blog on the internet. Jeez.

Nonetheless...I stop by and check for new posts because I enjoy your stories. I also hope that you are enjoying your life! Live it to the fullest, every day. :)

All the best to you and take care.

  4. You don't owe anyone an explanation. You write when you write. That's what RSS readers are for.

Oh and I hate anonymous commenters spreading their rudeness, acting like you blog just for them and only for them. Grow a pair and use a name.

Thank You for taking the time out of your very busy life to jot these stories down for us. I always look forward to your postings. They are always worth the wait, so please take all the time you need when writing them.

There's no excuse for rudeness, but surely you can understand impatience? Take it as a compliment.

Call me crazy, but I've got the impression that all those "Anonymous" comments may have come from a single snarkster... That's just my two cents worth though.

I hadn't been reading very long when you disappeared, but it was long enough that I'd grown interested, and yeah, I did wonder if something terrible had happened to you -- but I was enough of a "fan" to keep checking back!

Amen, write when you can, those people who gripe aren't paying (or tipping, heh) so don't worry about 'em! Those of us who care understand; we'll read when you write and check back later if you haven't.

    :)

  8. Server,

It's good to see you back and know that you're not dead. If anyone gives you guff about taking to long to write, don't let it get to you. The words come when the words come, and the difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug. (Apologies to Mark Twain.)

I second the comment about RSS; I use Google Reader these days.

    I think it's a "pride" of lions.

Think of it this way- those people are exactly the same people us servers become so exacerbated with, and almost amused with in a sick, morbid, tormented sort of way. They're like a plague that spreads across the internet... A humorous, yet apathetic outlook is the only remedy.
